Mainreg Inc — Domain Name Registration Agreement

Version: 2025-02 • Effective date: 01 August 2025 • Governing law: Bulgaria

1. Definitions

“You” / “Your” means the individual or legal entity applying to register, transfer, or manage a domain name via Mainreg Inc.

“We” / “Us” / “Registrar” means Mainreg Inc., a corporation registered in Delaware, USA, operating under ICANN accreditation, with financial operations provided by Securest LTD, Bulgaria.

“Agreement” means this Domain Name Registration Agreement, together with incorporated policies and ICANN requirements.

“Registry Operator” means the entity responsible for operating the registry for a given top-level domain (TLD).

2. Acceptance of the Agreement

This Agreement becomes binding upon our acceptance of your domain registration or transfer request. Your continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.

3. ICANN & Registry Requirements

  • We comply with the ICANN Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA) and all ICANN Consensus Policies, including the Transfer Policy, Registration Data Policy (RDP), and RDDS Accuracy requirements.
  • You agree to comply with applicable Registry Operator rules for each TLD.
  • Policies may change from time to time; continued use signifies acceptance.

4. Registrant Data & RDDS Accuracy

  1. Required data. You must provide accurate, current, and complete contact information for the Registered Name Holder (RNH) and relevant contacts (administrative, technical, billing, where applicable), as well as nameserver information.
  2. Updates. You must correct and update your data within 7 calendar days of any change and respond to accuracy or verification inquiries within 15 calendar days.
  3. Processing & disclosure. Your data will be processed per our Privacy Policy, shared with the applicable Registry Operator and ICANN, and published or disclosed as required by policy or law.
  4. Verification. We may verify your email or telephone at initial registration or transfer and may suspend a domain if verification is not successfully completed within applicable policy timelines.

For details, see our Privacy Policy and our RDDS Accuracy and Data Handling procedures.

5. Service Term, Renewal & Redemption

  • Domains renew on a yearly basis unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for ensuring timely renewal.
  • Expired domains may be directed to a holding page, enter an auto-renew grace period and/or Redemption Grace Period (RGP). Additional fees may apply for restoration.
  • We may modify WHOIS/RDAP status to reflect expiration and renewal processing.

6. Transfer Policy & ClientTransferProhibited

  1. Registrant information. Our registrar-specific transfer process is published at my.mainreg.com/policies/transfer (plain-language guide to inbound/outbound transfers, unlocking, obtaining AuthInfo/EPP, removing transfer lock, timelines, and common denial reasons). We also link to the authoritative ICANN Transfer Policy.
  2. FOA decline. If, after receiving a Form of Authorization (FOA) or equivalent confirmation request, you notify us that you do not wish to proceed, we will cancel the transfer.
  3. ClientTransferProhibited (transfer lock). This status may be applied:
    • By default at the time of registration (security best practice), and/or
    • Upon your explicit request.
We may also apply or maintain this status temporarily in cases permitted by ICANN policy (e.g., fraud prevention, UDRP/URS lock, court order).
  4. Removing the lock. Subject to ICANN specifications, policies, and applicable law, we will remove ClientTransferProhibited within five (5) calendar days of your request if no policy/legal restriction applies. Requests can be made via the customer portal or verified support ticket.
  5. AuthInfo (EPP) codes. Each domain has a unique AuthInfo code generated by our systems using cryptographically strong randomness. Codes are stored and delivered securely. If self-service generation/rotation is unavailable, we will provide the code to the RNH within five (5) calendar days of a verified request.

7. Use of the Domain

You must comply with ICANN syntax rules, reserved names, and applicable Registry policies. Domains must not be used for unlawful activity or to facilitate DNS Abuse (malware, botnets, phishing, pharming, or spam as a delivery mechanism for the foregoing).

8. DNS Abuse & Abuse Reporting

We comply with RAA §3.18. We publish our dedicated abuse contact at complain@mainreg.com and my.mainreg.com/policies/abuse. Upon receipt of actionable evidence of DNS Abuse, we take prompt and appropriate mitigation measures reasonably necessary to stop or disrupt the abuse, taking into account severity and potential collateral damage.

9. Licensing & Agents

If you license a domain to a third party, you remain the Registered Name Holder and responsible for compliance with this Agreement.

10. Breach, Suspension & Cancellation

  • We may suspend, cancel, or transfer a domain for breach of this Agreement, RDDS inaccuracy, non-payment, unlawful use, DNS Abuse, or as required by ICANN, the Registry, or competent authority.
  • We may correct registration mistakes consistent with ICANN/Registry policy and may place domains on hold during dispute resolution.

11. Dispute Resolution

You agree to the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) and any applicable dispute procedures (including URS where applicable). Venue for court disputes is the courts of Bulgaria and/or your domicile, without prejudice to mandatory jurisdiction under applicable policy or law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to us for the affected service during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us, ICANN, and applicable Registry Operators from third-party claims arising from your domain registration or use, your breach of this Agreement, or your violation of third-party rights.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Bulgaria. Courts in Bulgaria (and/or your domicile, as applicable) have jurisdiction over disputes, subject to ICANN policies and mandatory laws.

15. Entire Agreement

This Agreement, together with incorporated policies (including our Privacy Policy, Transfer Policy, and Abuse Policy), constitutes the entire agreement between you and us. If any provision is held invalid, the remainder remains enforceable.
